It's Southwest sale time this Thanksgiving week, and the airline is taking shots at its competitors with its newest nationwide sale. Offering a little "basic" compassion, Southwest is referring to almost every other airline in America shifting toward the Basic Economy model. Southwest still allows two free checked bags and charges no fees for changing your flight, something to be thankful for.

Airfares in this sale are valid for Mondays through Thursday and Saturday travel from early December through May 22, 2019. As expected peak holiday flights are blacked out on December 21-23, December 26-27, December 29-30, 2018 & January 1-2, 2019.

All tickets must be booked by Thanksgiving night – Thursday, November 22, 2018, at 11:59 pm.

Please note, these fares are only available on Southwest.com. Other carriers regularly match these sale fares, so be sure to compare to find the best deal.
