That weekend went by quick, didn't it? Need some more time off to relax than just a couple of days, then it’s time to treat yourself to that well-earned vacation. Airfares change daily, which is why we’re always on the hunt to help you grab the best-priced deals out there. Following is a list of the top 10 fares that we deal hounds have sniffed-out so far today.
Today’s Top Fare Deals
These top fares are all at prices below what we regularly see for that specific city pairing and destination. Some deals are part of ongoing sales, and some are unadvertised price drops that may only last for a limited time. If you’re interested in any of these handpicked deals, we recommend you book ASAP to avoid missing out on a bargain buy.
Fly nonstop from Dallas-Love Field to San Jose, California for $177 roundtrip on Alaska Airlines. You'll have until midnight to book this deal as the current Alaska sale is set to expire tonight. Travel is available on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturdays starting in early November through March 6, 2019. This is the only nonstop option for these airports, so it's quite a good deal compared to the connecting options, which cost even more. Searching on the Alaska site, I found seats departing DAL on Tuesday, December 5 and returning from SJC on Saturday, December 8, 2019.
Many of those great (wall of) China fares that we posted last week are still around, while the ones under $400 RT are mostly sold out or gone there are still some fantastic deals still alive. Here's one, for example, fly from Las Vegas to Beijing for $415 roundtrip on Air Canada. Flights are available starting in early January and valid for daily departures through the middle of April. It’s best to book through a third-party site like Priceline, CheapOair, or Orbitz as Air Canada's site will jump in price when you go through them. As an example, using Priceline, I found tickets departing LAS on Tuesday, January 22 and returning from PEK on Wednesday, January 30, 2019.
Head for the Rockies! Fly nonstop from New York-JFK to Denver, Colorado for $167 roundtrip on either Delta or JetBlue this fall or winter. Tickets at this price are available daily, although Sundays are scarce, starting in early November through March 6, 2019. Peak holidays are blacked out, but other than that this fare is widely available. If you have trouble finding flight times you want, book two separate one-way's at $84 a piece and stitch together a custom itinerary using both airline's schedules. As an example, I found seats at this price departing JFK on Saturday, January 19 and returning from DEN on Tuesday, January 22, 2019. Flights at this price point are also available from New York-LaGuardia from Delta and United. However, United has the most stringent basic economy restrictions.
LATAM launched this route over the summer, and it's the only nonstop option you'll find from Boston to Brazil. Take advantage of this discount deal and fly from Logan to Sao Paulo for $612 roundtrip this fall or winter. Departures can be found on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday at this price starting in late October through the end of March 2019. If flexible you can even purchase an itinerary that spans over Carnival, falling on March 1 through March 9 in 2019. Searching on LATAM’s website, I found tickets overlapping the festivities departing BOS on February 28 and returning from GRU on March 10, 2019, so make sure to pack your dancing shoes!
We often post flights to Hawaii but remember those flights work in reverse too. So here's a deal for those wanting to take a break from island life and head to the mainland. Fly on the airline of your choice from Honolulu to Los Angeles for $285 roundtrip through March 6, 2019. All airlines are matching prices on this popular route, and it's one of the better offerings we've seen throughout the year. Flights are available daily with peak holiday dates blacked out, but other than that mixing and matching airlines with one-ways and you can create any itinerary you want as this deal is quite widespread. As an example, I found seats departing HNL on Tuesday, November 20 and returning from LAX on Monday, November 26, 2019, perfect for an impromptu Thanksgiving getaway.
Fly from Washington DC-Dulles to Madrid, Spain for $436 roundtrip on Delta and other SkyTeam partner airlines. Flights are available Monday through Thursday starting in the middle of November through the end of March, but dates beyond in April and May can be found for a few dollars more. Like with many of these great Europe fares, a 7-day minimum stay is required and peak holiday dates are blacked out. This fare books into Main Cabin Economy, therefore each passenger is allowed one free checked bag included in the fare price. Using Google Flights, I found tickets at this price departing IAD on Wednesday, February 13 and returning from MAD on Tuesday, February 19, 2019. Utilizing those sample dates, take your Valentine on a romantic trip to the Spanish capital for tapas and Rioja, much better than chocolates.
Fly from Austin to Orlando on JetBlue this fall or winter for $163 roundtrip. Departures are available daily starting in mid-November through March 7, 2019. Flights around peak holiday times and school vacations blacked out. As an example, searching on JetBlue, I was able to see seats departing AUS on Saturday, December 1 and returning from MCO on Saturday, December 8, 2019. Other dates are widely available starting in 2019.
Here’s another fantastic deal that Air Canada has going on. Fly from Seattle to Sydney, Australia for $659 roundtrip. The travel window is small, but the savings are substantial. Fly on Monday through Thursdays starting on February 19 with returns available through April 3, 2019. You’ll find other dates a bit more, but they are still worth a look at if your travel needs fall outside of that period. As with most Air Canada deep discount deals, you’ll need to book on a third-party site like Priceline or Orbitz to pull up this price, as the Air Canada website jumps up in price on the final booking screen. As an example on Priceline, I found seats departing SEA on Monday, March 4 and returning from SYD on Thursday, March 21, 2019.
Here’s a great deal for winter and early spring travel. Fly nonstop from Chicago-O’Hare to Houston-Intercontinental for $85 roundtrip on American Airlines. Departures start on January 9 and are valid through the end of April; departure days vary depending on which month you travel, but there is ample availability in January and February from the looks of it. Searching on AA.com, I found tickets departing ORD on Wednesday, January 9 and returning from IAH on Sunday, January 13, 2019. A perfect time to escape from the wind chill coming off Lake Michigan

Daily flights are available starting in 3-days with departures through the middle of November; returns are available through November 30, 2018 -- another fare that is available over the Thanksgiving stretch.
