If you're on the hunt for summer deals to Europe, consider Madrid. Fares to the Spanish capital have been consistently low, particularly for travel in late summer.

Seen below, we found seats going for $484 round-trip on American Airlines, departing JFK on Wednesday, August 15, returning from MAD on Friday, August 24.

Admittedly, the connections for some itineraries are not ideal (ahem, 7 hours in Philly, 4 hours in Charlotte), but the price is definitely right.

Other dates are available for travel throughout August, with fares dropping by about $40 in September.
