When Expedia announced last week their plans to permanently lose the booking fees, we had a hunch the other sites might follow. And? We were right! Today, both Travelocity and Orbitz decided that they too will make their temporary no-fee bookings a regular feature.

Also here to stay are Travelocity's PriceGuardian and Orbitz's Flight Price Assurance offers, whereby passengers are given a refund should the price of their trip decrease after purchase. That  sure sounds good, but as we've mentioned before, someone must book the exact same itinerary as you (same dates, same flight, same class of service, but at a lower price) to qualify for a refund. And -sorry to be a Debbie Downer- that's probably not going to happen. Just sayin'.
