Megan (Senior Airfare Analyst): Boston to Shannon $733 round-trip, nonstop, on Aer Lingus, for travel from April 15 through June 15.

What a perfect time of the year to plan a trip to the Emerald Isle. This is a great nonstop fare from Boston to Shannon, but if you don't mind making a stop, you may even be able to find an even cheaper one!

I have been to my ancestral homeland a few times now, and I have to say, the West Coast is gorgeous. If you want a big city, you can fly to Dublin, but I prefer flying into the more quaint Shannon airport. From here, you are a quick car ride from some of Ireland's most beautiful sights.

What to Do: When in Ireland, you cannot miss the beautiful Cliffs of Moher.

Where to Stay: Ireland has some of the best B&B's out there, but if you are one who prefers a hotel to a B&B, Ballinalacken Castle Country House is place is for you. Doolin is just an hour drive from Shannon, and the Ballinalacken Castle Country house is amazing. There is a castle ruins on the grounds that you can explore.

Where to Go: What would a trip to Ireland be without visiting a local pub? McGann's is the quintessential Irish Pub, they have live music, and you are sure to befriend a local or two as you sip your pint! I recommend Bulmer's cider to a glass of Guinness any day, and so will the locals!
