It's simple: some of the most amazing airfares are so short-lived or have such limited date availability (i.e., they're only valid for a few itineraries) that chances are, by the time you receive, open, and act on the email, someone else will have grabbed them.

It's a better experience for us and you to tweet these special deals, and we usually include a "screen grab" picture of an actual booking in the tweet, something we can't do in an email. So that shows you the exact flights, airlines, schedules and so on, making it super easy for you to find seats at the fare shown.
