Uber, Lyft, and other rideshare pick ups are available on the upper departure levels of each terminal.

Bus lines connect terminals to the green line of the LA metro rail, with transfers available to points elsewhere in the city.

The Griffith Observatory still offers the best views of the city, though parking can prove difficult, particularly at sunset.

Los Angeles beaches draw crowds year-round. From Muscle Beach in Venice, stroll north towards the Santa Monica Pier, and onward to Will Rogers State Beach. Zuma Beach and Malibu are best reached by car. Cyclists can bike from Marina Del Rey to Santa Monica.

The Walk of Fame spans the entire scope of celebrity, from Cate Blanchett and Elizabeth Taylor to Lassie and Charlie Tuna. Yes, the crowds outside Grauman's Chinese can be a little much, but it's worth it just to marvel at the surprisingly tiny footprints of some of Hollywood's larger than life figures.

In the well-preserved Victorian neighborhood of Angelino Heights, all the homes are stunners but the most famous address (1345 Carroll Avenue) was featured in Michael Jackson's 1983 video for Thriller. Discerning film buffs will also recognize this property from the 1989 film Teen Witch, starring Robyn Lively and Zelda Rubinstein. It's hard to top that, but just across the street at 1329 Carroll Avenue is Halliwell Manor from the late ‘90s show Charmed.

Angelenos—and Californians in general—can be annoyingly smug when it comes to the superiority of the local tacos, but they're not wrong. Guisados serves homestyle tacos and tamales alongside cantaloupe aguas frescas and horchata. The Echo Park location fills up quickly, especially on game days at nearby Dodger Stadium. Open 24 hours, this perfectly preserved ‘60s deli on Fairfax Avenue served as late night HQ for Guns ‘n Roses and other famous bands of the era. If this windowless mauve dining room with its milk white banquettes seems like something from Mad Men, that's because it is. From the decor (gold formica) to the menu (chicken parm), little has changed at the Dresden.
