Hawaiian Airlines announced that it would begin nonstop service from its Oahu hub at Honolulu (HNL) to Boston Logan Airport (BOS) starting on April 4, 2019. This new nonstop route will become the longest domestic flight in the United States at roughly 5,095 miles. Thus supplanting Hawaiian’s current nonstop service from New York (JFK) to Honolulu (4,983 miles), as the country’s longest.

The New Nonstop Will be the Longest Domestic Flight in the U.S.

Hawaiian plans to offer this service five times per week, departing from Boston on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday, with returns from Honolulu on Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The new flights will initially operate with this schedule:

HA89 BOS to HNL departs at 8:55 am arrives at HNL 2:35 pm (11h 40m flight time)

HA90 HNL to BOS departs at 1:45 pm arrives at BOS 6:00 am +1-day (10h 15m flight time)

Tickets on this new route are available for $617 roundtrip in coach, which is a nod to the city’s area code, and $1,776 for flights in First Class (now sold out), another nice touch regarding the city’s link to America’s independence.

Flights at these prices were only supposed to last through yesterday, but searching on Hawaiian’s website I could still find some availability for the coach priced fares. Unfortunately, the First Class fares have sold out over the weekend. So if you are interested in the coach fares, I’d recommend booking those coach seats ASAP as they might sell out or get pulled soon as well.

This promotional price point is only available for travel from April 4 through April 30, 2019. Take note of blackout dates: April 12-14 to Honolulu and April 19-21 from Honolulu.

As an example below, searching the Hawaiian site I found tickets departing BOS on Tuesday, April 23 and returning from HNL on Monday, April 29, 2019.
