I mentioned last week that Norwegian Airlines is coming to Canada. Before transatlantic travel starts next spring, Norwegian will begin nonstop service from Montreal to both Martinique and Guadeloupe in the French Caribbean this fall.
Norwegian to fly from Montreal to French Caribbean
New nonstop flights begin in November and service will be offered three times weekly on each route. Flights between Montreal and Fort de France, Martinique will be flown on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Flights between Montreal and Pointe a Pitre, Guadeloupe will be flown on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Intro fares are valid from November through March, excluding peak holiday travel. Lowest fares are for departures on Monday or Tuesday; returning on Wednesday or Thursday. Fares are not advertised with an expiration date and may jump in price at any time.
Norwegian's LowFare only includes 22 lbs. of hand luggage (one carry-on up to 55x40x23 cm & one personal item that can fit underneath your seat). Checked baggage starts at $50 CAD each way. Meal service and advanced seat selection are not included in this fare. You can purchase Norwegian's "LowFare+", which includes first checked bag, meal, and seat selection for less than purchasing these items separately.
You may be able to obtain slightly lower fares by purchasing two separate one-way fares and/or booking on a Norwegian website from a different country of origin. Keep in mind, foreign transaction fees may apply if booking in a different currency. Use a credit card with no foreign transaction fees to avoid any potential loss in savings.
