American has fares that are matching the latest Southwest sale for travel through October. If American is your preferred airline or you want to fly from major airports like Dallas-Fort Worth, Miami, or Chicago-O'hare, check out what's available with this sale. You may find that United, Alaska, and/or Delta will be matching along some routes as well.

This sale is not advertised on American's site, but the fares and travel period match Southwest's advertised sale. Some routes will be available for spring travel through June 13, while others may only be available for late summer/fall travel from August 21 through October 31. Most routes will be available for both time periods.

Travel to Nevada and Florida is valid Sundays through Thursdays; Travel from Nevada and Florida is valid Tuesdays through Fridays. On all other routes, travel on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Avoid blackout dates on May 24, 25, 28; August 31 & September 3. A Saturday night stay may be required depending on the route.

Tickets must be booked at least 21-days in advance of travel and by April 19, 2018.

There are many more routes and these fares all work in reverse as well. Some prices are for basic economy, which means American and United will only include one small personal item (small backpack, large purse, etc.) that will fit underneath the seat in front of you. Larger carry-on bags are not allowed. Checked bag fees start at $25 each way. If you would like to bring a larger carry-on bag, consider the higher regular economy price.
