Scandinavian Airlines is halfway through its "24 Days of Christmas" promotion and today they feature Gothenburg. This is the second largest city in Sweden, just behind its capital city Stockholm. Since Gothenburg is located by the sea, it is known for its various seafood restaurants. You will find everything from fish shacks to world-class eateries here. Are you a Sports fan? Gothenburg, which is home to the first ever football plays in Sweden, also enjoys basketball, ice hockey and handball.

Here are some of the fares I found on SAS's website. I placed the competition in parenthesis. All fares below are round trip using Gothenburg's Landvetter Airport. Taxes and fees are included in the prices listed.

Sat Feb 14 - Sat Feb 21: Chicago (ORD) $676 w 1 layover (United $797 w. 1 layover)
Tue Mar 03 - Tue Mar 10: Newark (EWR) $676 w. 1 layover (FinnAir through JFK $650 w. 1 layover)
