Lack of International Deals? There's a Reason.

Q. How come Airfarewatchdog isn't listing international deals any more?

A. Well in fact, we have listed some international fares, such as recent ones for June travel to Budapest, Prague, Copenhagen and Stockholm from as little as $377 round-trip including tax, and did you miss the deals to New Zealand for under $400 with tax? Then there was Singapore Airlines' $669 from LA to Tokyo, including tax on nonstop flights.  The problem is that most fares to international destinations these days, at least for late spring and summer travel, are well over $1000 round-trip including taxes, and Airfarewatchdog prides itself on listing only spectacularly low airfares. We're still hoping to locate some more real deals to Europe, Asia and other international destinations for travel  this spring and summer but until we do, we've decided not to flood your email inbox with very pricey, not-so-special fares that you could pretty much find on your own. Feel free to tell us in the comments below if you think this doesn't make sense.

This is the way it should be. I rely on you guys to show me REAL DEALS so don't bother to email me until fares are really really low. and thanks.

Please display fares to Amsterdam from both Honolulu and anywhere from the West Coast such as Seattle, LAX or San Francisco. Thank you.

This makes a lot of sense. This even makes me like and appreciate Airfarewatchdog more, thanks for all you do. Please e mail me any promo code or AFWD worthysuper deal for Belgium from Atlanta:)

I agree; however, what about fares to the Caribbean (Bahamas)?

"Airfarewatchdog prides itself on listing only spectacularly low airfares" I do not see that in the daily postings to LA and San Diego from St. Louis. I guess it is all relative, but anything over $250 TOTAL for this trip is just normal.

Thank you! I appreciate your decision to stick with great bargains.

I agree with not posting mediocre deals that can be found on your average travel website. Just want the awesome ones. (Personally would love to have something even more targeted - like only show me international deals excluding Mexico and Canada...)

Did Seattle fall off the face of the earth?? I haven't seen any deals for this city lately.

I too have family in Europe, and I usually book 6 months in advance, so if you find cheap fall fares, please post them. These days anything under $1000.00 to Europe is cheap (sadly).

I know fares are expensive at the moment but have family in europe and look to you for the best fares. The other sites are TOO confusing. Please continue to show fares.

I look at your site for the best fares and often look for overseas sales as all the other sites are so confusing. I have family in europe and often look for the best fares to Europe. Please reinstate. I know they are expensive now but also know that you will find the best fares.
