Q: Don't have any vacation until end of June.....is there hope for a decent fare from Houston to Paris down the line?
A: At this point, it's looking slimmer and slimmer, but you just never know when it comes to Airfares. Even to the experts like us it's a mystery. Don't see anything below $1,000 at this point, but sign up for our fare alerts and we'll let you know if the situation changes.

I just noticed that on April 1, 2010 SAS implemented a $50 fee for the 2nd checked bag on flights to or from the US. So be sure to check the the airlines' rules carefully.

It takes time, but do read on-line travel articles on the places you're interested in. Last September (09) I cursored over what was an active link in an article on Europe. The pop-up was a British Air ad. We got rt economy to London, 8 days in a hotel (tourist, but acceptable since we only slept there), and no luggage fees, all for $1100 pp. We took Eurostar to Paris for the day. Perfect!
