First Dibs at Weekend Fares

Q. What day of the week do the airlines release their weekend fares?

A. Many weekend fares are actually available for booking as early as Sunday (for example, Delta); others on Monday. But the airlines first post these fares on their web sites, then send automated emails later in the week, usually on Tuesday or Wednesday. Because of the volume of emails they send, some folks get their weekend alerts later than others, so it's best to check the web sites quickly to get first dibs.  Airfarewatchdog lists weekend fares as soon as we can find them on airline web sites, and sometimes earlier if we come across one on a Sunday or Monday, before the fares are even posted on airline web sites.

Guess some folks can't think of anything to say, but feel compelled to say something so they come up with their stupid racist or sexist allegations.

I can't imagine what could be construed as racist in this post, either. Methinks I spy a troll (or two).

AEB and Literr8 - I think you guys may be a bit racist - I read Dormammu's comment as tounge in cheek about an absurb flight request just like Airhead - I would NEVER have thought it was racist - since when has any reference to an ape automatically been contstrued as racism? If he had said 'rabbit' would that have been racist? Methinks these Ladies doth protest too much.
by AreyouKiddingme on Monday, February 22, 2010
Dormammu, that was a totally unnecessary comment, not to mention completely racist. Please refrain from these types of comments in the future.
by AEB on Monday, October 12, 2009
I see that racially motivated comments are permissible on your site.
Printing such garbage only leads me to believe that you too are racist and as anti-American as Dormammu.

@livefree: you may not have noticed, but these threads have (up till your painfully unfunny comment) been remarkably politics-free. I, for one, would like to keep it that way. Please refrain from pointing out your racism and stupidity to us. THANKS SO MUCH!

Comments on this blog should pertain to the original question. Get it?????? I hate reading all these questions here, they should be comments, not questions.

"You can submit your own question to us at askgeorge@airfarewatchdog.com. We will try to answer as many as possible.... "
Those are the very first two sentences of this page.
Wow ... reading is fundamental ..but comprehension ...is the key.

Hello PEOPLE,
The point of this post is to give you information, if you want to know low airfares from certain places it might be smart to sign up for your location newsletter. I mean you can't just post what airfare you want here and expect to magically find it in your inbox. And this isn't a moderator, if you want the comments removed via email, spam it or opt out. Most of the newsletters have an opt out link on the bottom. I just think some of you aren't smart enough to be on the internet. By the way, I do no work for or am in any way affiliated to airfarewatchdog.com, it just saddens me to know that there are so many dim witted people. :)
Thank you!

This is supposed to be a thread, that is, somebody posts a question or a comment, and others (including the "management") post comments/replies that are relevant to the ORIGINAL post. Not new questions. Not comments unrelated to the original post. If you have questions of your own, send them as a separate topic, otherwise they will get lost in a thread that is about something else.
