I've booked some great fares through you guys, and now I'm shopping around for a good deal on a cruise. Do you provide the same service for cruises? Or do you know of another site that does? A. We're stricly airfares, but we do recommend Cruise Critic, which lists cruise deals, as well as advice from experienced cruisers to help you select the cruise that suits you best. You might also want to check out Cruisemates as well. Post a Comment
Vacationstogo.com is excellent - we take approx. 4 cruises a year and book them all thru them. They are better than any of the other sites. They also carry good insurance. by Sue on Wednesday, December 17, 2008
I recommend www.CruiseCompete.com.They send your info to lots of agents ( listed on their site) who then send you a quote. You can then see who has the best price and what special offers are avaailable. Erom my experience no one agent is always the best so it pays to shop around. by on Thursday, May 29, 2008
The only way to save money on a cruise is by getting a travel agent. Cruise lines don't allow discounting. I found web sites that do offer a discount do so by actually marking up the price and then discounting their mark up. You pay the same price. Some websites list cruise line specials but these specials are posted by the cruise lines themselves and are available to travel agents as well as travel websites. A travel agent will save you money by knowing where the specials are or by grouping. Grouping is when a travel agent blocks off cabins for a group but doesn't book every cabin. They then sell the extra cabins which include group amenities. There is no discount for the cabin but you get extras such as onboard credit or upgrades if available. Bottom line, you will always pay more booking through a web site since they don't have access to GAP points and don't book groups. Booking through an agent gives you one more advantage, his or her expertise. Find a cruise fare on a web site and then go to an agent and try to book the same fare, you'll see what I mean. by on Thursday, June 19, 2008
I also use Vacations to go and have never had a problem. I have used CruiseCompete. I take many cruises. by Kay on Thursday, December 18, 2008
You should also try http://www.mybestfarefinder.com as we always get a better deal through one of the agents there because of the shipboard credits and other amenities they offer. by tomg on Saturday, December 27, 2008
Recommend vacationstogo.com as best bargain finder online. Much better deals than most other cruise sites! by on Tuesday, May 27, 2008
