OK, airline a la carte pricing has been with us for a while now (charging extra for checked bags, sodas, pillows, seat selection, etc). Is this fair (pay only for what you use) or a big step backward (we're just being dimed and dollared to death)? Good idea. I pack light, don't drink 4 Diet Cokes per flight, bring my own pillow...why should I pay the jet fuel bill for people checking the kitchen sink? Bad idea. Let's just pay for the airline fare and go back to the good old days.
