I applaud Allegiant. Can't beat $40 round trip! You just have to remind yourself you didn't pay $200 or more (and it's only a 2-hour flight) when you find the seats don't recline, there's no pocket in the seat in front of you for your book, and you must pay a minimum of $2 (water) for anything to eat or drink; an announcement is even made that you are NOT allowed to eat or drink anything that wasn't purchased on the flight. (I felt like a criminal, checking to make sure the attendant wasn't looking when I drank from my water bottle.) The plane was in excellent shape and clean, just "no frills." They were able, however, to poke fun at themselves as when we were asked upon landing to help them by re-buckling the belts behind us "and then I will pass the vacuum cleaner back beginning with row one and..."

The Youngstown airport, on the other hand, was scary; followed rusted signs to find it, then looking for a men's room on the gate side of security, was told to go through a door into a deserted "dead quiet" hallway to a co-ed porta-jon. I could hear absolutely everything going on inside...it was definitely weird!

All in all, I would recommend it to anyone on a budget who's not a flight detail fanatic.
