    AirTran is generally a bargain, even including its checked-bag fee of $15. They try very hard to make their passengers comfortable, even in economy, and the full and nearly full flights show that people respond to a well-run operation. I have absolutely no complaints, except my usual, for almost any airline: Why can't they include the checked-bag fee in the normal fare charge for everyone,even those who prefer (for some odd reason) to handle their bags themselves? Additional fees are bothersome and an irritant and would be better done as semi-disguised charges within the ticket fee price.
