I had no problems, no delays, flight departed on time and with good weather, we arrived on time. The flight service was the usual snacks and beverage. but the plane was clean, quiet, and the seats were, as always, comfortable.

I have always had a good experience on Spirit's flights. I have no complaints except for the baggage fee, but if you are a member of their discount program, your baggage fee is reduced to $20.

Our trip was great except for the plane having to be shut down after we had boarded. There were no further problems. When we experienced turbulence the pilot was kind enough to tell us in advance3 and handled it wonderfully. Service was great and of course, gotta love the tv at each seat!!

My latest trip in Feb. 2011 from DC to Ft. Lauderdale (and back)was great on several scores: 1. Best deal (@$167 roundtrip incl. taxes/fees). Although they charge $25 for the first piece of checked-in luggage, still the best deal for a direct, on-time flight. (Also, they usually offer free checkin at the gate for 1 piece of carry-on.) 2. Friendly, efficient check-in procedures, which included free check-in of carry-on luggage, in order to speed up the boarding process. 3. Clean cabins and restrooms 4. On-time take offs. 5. Prompt response to handicapped access requests for wheel chairs. Overall, a very pleasant flight experience.

Pay pay pay everything is money with this airlines..after paying for everything price of ticket ends up being same as American, US Air or one of the major airlines. Seats are tight, don't recline. Pay for water, coffee, everything. Only thing I didn't get charged for was using the toilet (I think)They can keep their so called cheap air fares...I'll be on American

Spirit charges for everthing including carry on, checked luggage, water, etc. Pack light and don't check any luggage. Also, be sure to get some water before you board. The cabin can be dry and you have to pay for a drink of water. Seats are very close together. Biggest upset was that we diverted from Washington National to Washington Dulles. Captain said that Washington National was closed and that we were running low on fuel. Found out later that Washington National had never closed. Blue Angels had done a flyover at Arlington Cemetary so landing was delayed, but not closed. When we finally landed at Washington National there were TV crews interviewing passengers on the flight that was diverted. There apparently is an investigation underway.

You pay for everything on this Airline, even seat assignments. And now you get to pay for carry-ons. Where's the savings? The legroom on the back of the plane is minimal. I am 6' 1". My knees hit the seat in front of me when I was sitting completely upright. You can't slide down in the seat to get comfortable. You have to buy even water on the flight. Soon they will start charging to use the toilet. I would worry I'm giving them ideas but, I'm sure they're working on how to sell that one.

Good solid performance. Not outstanding but better than average. The crew was pleasant and efficient. Didn't check a bag. Didn't need to. I still hate those fees. Got the whole beverage can, not just a cup full of ice. Fligts were on time, arrivals were a few minutes early.

consistently the worst airline I have ever flown, but the price makes the two hour flight almost bearable. Seat pitch is terrible and inevitably there is no space in the overheads yet no attempt is made to limit number or size of bags. Because all of their flights go through Fort Lauderdale any storm will cause a complete breakdown of the system.
