There were some bad storms in Atlanta that delayed my departure from DC. Once airborne, we were fine flying above the storm. The pilot however, did not try to make up any time at all on the way to Atlanta. My flt landed and arrived at the gate 10 minutes before my connection was due to take off. Air Tran did not ask the connecting flt to wait so the 6 of us could get on that flt (2 gates away). We were then directed to customer service to re-book. The next flt was 7 hours later and all we got was a $10 meal voucher and $25 off another Air Tran flight. I was actually told tha the FAA tells the airlines when they can hold a flight. Really??? Won't be using that $25 flight voucher.

Good thing was that we arrived early. Seat room was as usual - horrible. I always hit my knees on the back of the seat in front, especially if the passenger tilts the seat back.

I was delayed out of DCA because Newark traffic control grounded them for an hour, this lead to me missing my connecting flight out of Newark (I was on my way to Denver). I knew there was another flight on their partner airline, United, so I went to the Continental Service Center to make the change. I was told by the gentleman behind the counter that I wouldn't make the other one. He then preceded to put me on it and tell me that I needed to check in at the United ticket counter outside of security and take the train to the other terminal. I left security as he told me and couldn't make it to the other terminal in time. When I spoke with another Continental representative they told me that I never had to leave security, I could have taken a shuttle from my current terminal to the other one, checked in at the gate and I would have made it in time. I spoke to that representative and she said there would be no compensation; I ended up spending the night sleeping on the floor in the airport since there were no other flights. Horrible experience that could have been averted if I had been given the correct information by the initial Service Center representative. At the very least, I should have been compensated in some way because of their error.

This was our (husband and me) first trip on Frontier. We were on our way to Fairbanks, AK. This was one of our best flight experiences in quite awhile. We're joking now that we'll choose our next destination from Frontier's list of destinations.
