I generally fly Delta/Air France to Paris, but this time I flew from Washington DC to Chicago with one stop. I have nothing negative to say about them! they left on time, the staff at boarding and on board were polite and helpful. The flights themselves were easy. When there was turbulence, the captain came on and explained. The loudspeaker system was easily understandable. With a Delta American Express card the first check-in baggage is free and they even serve peanuts with drinks. I won't hesitate to fly Delta again.

Flight was originally scheduled for a specific time. United upped the departure time by 15 minutes - after "rushing" to airport, flight was delayed by 45 minutes.

...because they're dead when squeezed into a tin. United passengers are still alive, however, and must squirm for space that doesn't exist, just to keep the circulation flowing. Goodby, United. Never again.

Wish the days where no fees for checked baggage comes back and praying that the airlines feed passengers with regular meal instead of pretzels or nuts. Check airlines in Asia (India) who are doing pretty well serving meals and not hurting their profits. You can do tie-ups with catering businesses/hotels/restaurants for ads to be displayed on the meal boxes. Unless you try you wouldn't know if it would work or not. Cut corners somewhere else ;) Make announcements to bring headsets on the flight. Thanks, Kiran

Check-in has improved through increased # of machines, and enough staff to pass out checked luggage tags. You still have to lug your stuff to the TSA screening machine. In flight is about average, with a few things to purchase, but little variety. New seats on refurbushed 737 have two settings: bolt upright, and partially bolt upright. Almost no support in the seat or thighs. Glad it was only a 2 hr flight. Tkts were $250 ea. Thought that was pricey for a 3 mos advance purch.

Flew RT from O'Hare to Reagan & back for a long weekend. American Eagle (a CR7, I think) feels like they have removed any padding from the seats and the two and two seating is definitely sardine-ish, VERY uncomfortable. Not for the claustrophobic! On the other hand, the close quarters did make for some camaraderie - a woman opposite us was doing a crossword, and asking her seat-mate for answers. It soon spread around the cabin, till about severals rows of us were shouting out answers. Really salvaged the flight!
