Very comfortable seating. Food selection poor. Service good. Able to view flight information on screen, altitude and mileage. Had a window seat and was able to watch the changing scenery along the way to Canada.

On the outbound flight cabin crew excellent--inbound not as good (I think they were a little stressed)
Good jokes from cabin crew i.e. on landing in YVR they announced that "smoking was only permitted in designated smoking areas which the B.C. government defines as Alberta"

I did not appreciate having to pay for my first checked bag ($25 US) and in hindsight would have brought a larger bag to justify the cost. Otherwise, the first leg of the journey was good with the pilots providing commentary as we flew over the US. We arrived early and I was really impressed with my first visit to the Phoenix airport. The airport was very busy for a Monday although for some it was the beginning of Spring Break. Phoenix is a "hub" for US Airways and I was really impressed with the volume of aircraft coming and going. The whole airline experience was very positive. I did not appreciate the hoards of hucksters selling "timeshare" presentations as one tries to navigate towards the exits and awaiting taxi shuttles. The other irony was when you purchase duty free alcohol in Mexico, they hand it "sealed" and you carry it on to the airplane and put it in the overhead compartment. Conversely, when you clear US Customs in Phoenix, the direct you to place that "liquid" in your checked baggage BEFORE making your connecting flight back to Canada....luckily, I was able to make room in my checked bag and I did not experience any spillage. Otherwise, a great time was had by all and I would fly with US Airways again.
