This was our first flight on Southwest.
We arrived in Las Vegas in the midst of a severe thunderstorm and were left on the tarmac for close to two hours because they could not get planes away from the departure gates due to the closeness of the lightening strikes.
The next day we received an email from Southwest explaining the delay, and even though it was no fault of theirs, gave us each a $75 voucher towards our next Southwest flight.
We are Canadians. Let me tell you, Air Canada would have done nothing like that.
Just the email alone would have committed me to Southwest, but offering us a discount on our next flight was way above and beyond any expectations. They are now my first choice for flying in the US.

Flites both ways good and timely, directions to next gate not too easy going from on area to other.at dfw.
Security checks smooth and thorough. Be sure to
bring own snacks and on return from DFW not even
music or video. Cheepoes. TOM B

Took two and a half hours to get the plane fixed for take off to Las Vegas in Miami. Glad there were mechanics on duty at 7:30 to repair the damage and get us on our five hour flight before midnight. Landing was a wake-up but pilots were tired as we were! God bless for a safe flight...anyway!

I love flying Southwest Airlines. They have the friendliest flight attendants and personnel and will always try and fly with them on future trips.

I have no complaints despite reading all the horror stories on the Internet about Spirit airlines. I expected worse but the airlines staff was accomodating and there were no problems.

This was a two day reunion with my two adult sons. One from Ga. and the other from Ca. Returning from Vegas to Tampa my airline encountered mechanical problems. The Delta manager put me and one of my sons up in the Hyatt Regency hotel with $36 each for meals. He also gave us our boarding cards for the next day and placed us in the Exit row with lots of leg room. In Atlanta my son and I split so I had an extra day to visit with him. It was a great trip.

American Airlines really has to be the leader is those airlines attempting to replicate the old national airline of the Soviet Union. Wow, the planes are old and the flight attendants are amazingly gifted in the area if seeming bitter and annoyed at passengers. American, great job in recapturing the good ol' days of Iron Curtain travel with angry service and uncomfortable seats! I can only wait till next time when I board this cattle car service.
