Older plane. Nice if attendants would leave beverage with you, not just give you one little cup mostly full of ice.

Frontier doesn't have many flights leaving St. Louis so the airline has not automated the check-in procedure. The agent was pleasant, TSA security check was swift, the plane departed early and likewise arrived early in Denver.

The departure from Denver was an opposite experience. The humorless ticket agent was terse and scolded us for coming to the ticket counter to check-in rather than use the self-service. The plane departed one hour late without any explanation to the full plane of passengers. The plane was an Airbus with individual monitors built into the back of the seat you face. However, you must pay a $6 fee to see a TV show or movie. Rather than go blank if you did not pay the fee, the screen constantly flashed the same ads for the entire trip (even the GPS feature required the fee). Since Frontier charges for checked luggage, most passengers had carry-on bags. Since the plane was full, the gate agent asked passengers to check carry-on luggage and she did so without charging the usual fee.

The highlight of both legs of the flight was the freshly baked chocolate chip cookie served during the light with the complimentary beverage.

First time flying Southwest and was very happy with the entire process. Paid the $10 for early boarding and I will do this whenever I fly SW. Departed on time and arrived on time. Flight attendants were very friendly and helpful. Booked on-line and had no problems at all.

On our return flight from Denver to St. Louis, the plane was looking over-booked. We were asked to stand-by and take the next flight, the deal being $200 vouchers and dinner. We agreed. After we were on the plane, the stewardess asked for the two stand-bys because two people did not have seats. My husband and I both waved and shouted, it's us. The two people sitting beside her asked what the deal was, she told them and they said we'll do it. She completely skipped over us and let them have the deal. Needless to say, At the point, we felt like it would'nt do any good to bring it up again, the people were gone, and we were getting ready for take-off. When we landed in St. Louis, we approached the Frontier counter and told the person what had happened, she gave us a card to contact Frontier and said she could not do anything. I then called Frontier after getting home and nicely told the rep. my story, she was sympathetic but said the time to do something was on the plane. I told her we had tried to. We were both in window seats, and it is not easy to stand up quickly or get into the aisle, but the stewardess did see us waving and shouting. So, again her answer was, I can't help you. I guess they are trained to "pass the buck" when it comes to handling customer service. The flight actually was very good, but the whole incident will influence my decision next time of which airline to purchase tickets from. Even if I have to pay a little more. Good customer service is very important to me.

We left on time and the return flight was also on time. Actually arrived early going out to destination.

I was concerned with the peanuts being served on the return flight because of the allergy issue.

I fly Southwest whenever I can and thankfully, it serves the 2 locations to which I fly most frequently to visit family. I like its friendly personnel(one of its pilots bought me breakfast one day since we were in the Starbucks line together talking; I kept looking at my watch and the gate, when he asked where I was going; he told me that my flight was his plane, so I could relax). If you are fortunate to get one of the many funny flight attendants, you will truly enjoy the pre-flight announcements. Numerous other kindnesses and EXCELLENT prices, including no bag fees for checked bags, make it our choice. This last flight was no exception to the good prices and good service we have come to expect.
