I highly recommend SJC as an alternative to SFO. It's smaller to get around and the rental car service was very convenient. Our experience was superior!

Our flight down to San Jose was as perfect as I have ever known. The takeoff/landing were excellent and the flight was so smooth, I didn't even worry about being in air.
Our flight back was the same although we did have a little turbulence for a while. The landing was the best landing in Seattle that I have ever had.

Flight was "partner" American & Alaska. Flights were fine and on time. Had a hiccup in baggage handling as we arrived Mexico on American, bags went to the Alaska terminal. Alaska Customs was "closed" as all employees were all in a 3 hr meeting and would not clear our bags. Delivered 24 hours later.

Scant mid aisle space, unable to pass anyone in the aisle; Bathroom is too small. Flight Assistants helpful. Seats tight.

Alaska consistently provides service, comfort and ease of travel. In my most recent travels I experienced their new travel feature of inflight wi-fi. Great new addition to the Alaska experience. Alaska is one of the best travel service providers and web site support systems and now they have added paperless check-in and boarding passes.

Flight was OK, but the frustrating and time consuming thing was the people with carry on baggage, especially those with bags that did not fit in overhead bins....totally ridiculous.
