I usually fly in Alaska/Horizon's much smaller planes. I was pleased by the leg room in my economy seat. I was pleased that the gate agent had changed my seat from a center seat to an available window seat without my request. It was a pleasant surprise when I heard my name as I arrived at the gate.

I fly often and can honestly say that no airline is more efficient and service-oriented than Alaska.

Yes, like any, there is an exception here or there but overall they are heads above the rest.

Overall flight was fine. Leg room better than other carriers. However, we needed to change our departure date by two days and Alaska charged us $538.00 per person to do so!! This seemed outlandish to us, but we had no other options. We expected to pay the $100 change fee as stated on the ticket receipt but this felt like price gouging.

It was an issue that will make us consider all other airlines before flying Alaska again.

The trip TO Orlando was long, but uneventful. Seats were fairly comfortable. Pillows were provided on the red-eye. I must have slept because I don't recall any food/beverage service at all on either flight. Coming home my seat was changed forward 20 rows to a much more comfortable seat which I appreciated alot. The 2nd leg coming home from MSP to SEA was long, seated next to a larger person who took up part of my small seat and now I have a kink in my neck from leaning to the left for the entire flight. We were served breakfast, but it cost $7 for a small fruit plate - very expensive!!

My flight was problem free!! We left on time and arrived early! Although many fights provide no snacks free, Alaska gave us cookies and frequently rounded with offers of water throughout the flight.
