Best detail: we landed 35 minutes early in EWR !!!
Not so happy about the entertainment choice: it was either, swipe your credit card and use DirectTV mediocre programming or nothing. The Sky magazine anounced there would be a movie on this return flight as was offered on the flight out to seattle a week before.
Food offered was a tasty hamburger, good quality.
PS. This detail did not affect us .. but the flight was overbooked and continental offered the usual cash etc for those willing to give up their seat.

Early morning flight is okay leaving Seattle but not leaving Newark. Direct flight was the way to go.You actually got a meal on the flight too - for free.

Every time I have flown with Alaska Airlines, we leave right on time. On this trip because of a tailwind, we shaved an hour off the time each way. The crew are friendly and I have just always had good experiences with them. You do have to pay for your snack lunch and dvd player, but it is not expensive and always an option to go without.
