On our return trip Flt 559 , from Nashville to Seattle on 9-28-10 my wifes knee popped as she stood up to exit the plane and hobbled to the jet way from the 2nd row ailse seat, the attendant called for a wheel chair which was in the jet way , they put her in the chair and she was wheeled out to the gate, while another attendant brought her walker up to us at the gate and escorted us to get our baggage and then took us out to flag down the Sea-Tac shuttle bus that took us to our van. In recent years, my pleasure in traveling has declined - not just due to the burden of more time but the rough even rude manner in which I was shipped from site to site. This trip was much better. The time needed was still there, but the Delta staff at checkin were pleasant - yes, really. The flight was on time & the staff seemed to recognize us if not as their guests at least as their customers. What a treat!

Our seats were more comfortable than usual and we had more leg room than usual. However, for a cross-country trip with our 10-yr-old, we were disappointed not to get a movie. Though we had to pay for food, it was about the same cost as what we could have gotten at the airport and surprisingly good. Service was good. Our connecting flight on the first half of our trip was delayed, but our returning flight actually arrived early.
