Flight attendents made regular rounds offering water....sure helps in the dry air of a plane. Food for sale was tasty.

Alaska and American used to be a great airlines and the ones that I most preferred to fly. Now the flight attendants and gate personnel are surly ,unhelpful and unfriendly. On a recent flight I was starving and while enroute I requested to purchase an inflight snack or meal that was offered. I was told "we have nothing for you, we sold out". I wasn't even offered a cracker to get me through. I hate flying and find it a necessary evil to get where I am going.

We flew on an MD-80 and ne'er again. While it has been a few years since I have flown, I don't recall having been on a more uncomfortable flight. My husband's air vent did not work at all, and the flight attendant offered no help. Some other passenger's vents and lights did not work either. Then the flight attendant mocked my husband after I changed seats with him, as if to say "isn't he a whiny man." So I definitely did not enjoy this flight. I much prefer the smaller airlines. They seem to take more interest in making you as comfortable as possible on a very long flight.
