We were slightly delayed for departing due to someone on the previous flight had become ill and the crew had to do extra cleaning. But...we were informed of the delay in a timely manner. We did arrive pretty much on time at Chgo.

The flight departed on time after an easy boarding. Very smooth flight, even landing 10 minutes early. The flight attendants were very polite and efficient. Best flight to Chicago I have ever taken.

30 min late/$20+ baggage fees - Arggh! First time taking an Alaska Airline flight. Late leaving 30 minutes. Baggage fees added $40-$50 so I guess hidden fees apart from posted prices add another 10-15% to the price of the ticket. Would not take cash for payment of baggage fees. What do people with no credit cards do?

easy flight from start to finish. check in went well, flight not crowded at all, flight attendants were great, and the luggage was delivered fast. couldn't have been better!

Although there are extra costs for luggage, food, drinks, movies, etc, it still is nice to have a crew carry about customer service. The flight attendents had a handheld computer as they went down the aisle. They would greet each customer by their first name, for example, "Hello Cindy, would you like to rent a movie or buy a lunch?" I really liked all the "extra's" being offered. Alaska Airline even had "WiFi" onboard.
