Not my connection - the crew which we waited nearly an hour for.
First leg SNA --> SLC was on time and uneventful.
Second leg SLC --> JFK was delayed for an hour while everyone (a full red-eye flight) waited for the crew to arrive from another delayed(?) inbound flight.
Typical flight these days:
$25 to check a bag
more charges if you'd like to have something like M&M's or anything other than 20 peanuts and a soft drink. You even had to ask the FAs to leave the can of the beverage.
The blanket which they placed on every seat (no expense spared here) smelled awful - whether it was the cloth or some sort of treatment who knows. I wish they would only provide them upon request.

I took a business trip to New York in March. I took United. I missed my original flight, luckily there were two more seats on a later flight. Thankfully, I was able to keep the internet price and only pay $50.00 for the change (what a deal!). My flight to NY was great, one young captain was at the door to greet you and take your oversized carry-on bag. In the air we circled a little, I enjoyed the air view of New York and the landing wasn't bad regardless of what the frequent flyer sitting beside me said. The flight back to LA was nice and quiet. We basically had the plane by ourselves. Overall, the trip to NY was nice and smooth.
