    United was looking for volunteers to give up seats on an overbooked connecting flight to Traverse city, MI. The gate agent in Chicago went out of her way to call another airline to secure two seats on a flight that was to leave only 45 minutes later than the United flight we were giving up. she printed out two tickets on the American flight plus we got the compensation for yielding our two seats. A great service was provided by the United agent, and she said if we had any trouble when checking in at the American gate to come right back to her for help. We had no problem with American.
