Not having watched our local weather for the past 10 days, we awaited our department for 8 hours in San Juan only to be told that our flight would be delayed because our plane had not arrived. An hour and a half later, when we boarded the pilot announced that it would be "a bumpy flight, a cold front had come in but at least it wasn't windy in Hartford"...at 24000 feet until we landed we were battered by winds and stewardesses were told to remain seated. Until we touched down we saw NO lights, plane was So quiet that when we safely landed in torrential rains, everyone cheered and clapped. My response to the stewardesses was "YOU NEED TO GIVE THAT PILOT A RAISE! They don't pay him enough!"
