Outbound flights were good, partially filled so adjacent seat was vacant, crew on SFO-MSP was especially energetic and friendly. Return was essentially the same except cabin crew was just going though the motions; hard to find once the initial pass through the cabin was completed. Also, aircraft from MSP-SFO had no in-flight entertainment options: no music, movies, nothing. Both flights had on-time departures and arrivals and bags were waiting at the carousel.

Flew from SFO to DCA through MSP. Overall the flights were good. Service was excellent on 3 of the 4 legs. One leg just seem to have a lazy staff of flight attendants. (DCA-MSP on 2/22). Check in staff were great and worked with us to get seats together which I was not able to get online.
Biggest hassle was security at SFO. They were contractors. Security at other airports was TSA and were efficient and fine.

Slight overhead compartment space problem (lack of).Last to load passenger's carry-on luggage with wheels had to be checked in(at no charge). Other than that great flights.

Flight attendants are either incredibly rude or one of the three is usually very nice on AirTran. At the gate, always very helpful. My boyfriend and I had seperate seats asssigments but one flight attendant worked diligently to find seats together. Flight was at 95% capacity and she still made sure we could sit together. But then on my connecting flight due to some weather problems we were grounded for two-hours. The flight attendants kept getting on the loud speaker to tell people what not to do but seemed to be speaking to ONE person. Seems like they should have just talked to that person directly.

American has as many nuisance fees as the rest, but combined with seats that recline 1.5 inches, that force my 5'9" knees into the seat in front, and cause drink spills when the passenger in front "reclines", this was the worst trip I've had in years. I'm thankful for United's Economy Plus! checkin good cuz it was online pass print. Attendants were lackluster and devoid of friendliness.
