The crew was not there - hadn't been notified of departure time, thus we had to wait approximately one hour.

“Connections and Customer Service Amiss”

Aside from a highly improved Southwest experience, I'm not sure why it was ok to delay our flight out of SFO for over an hour, but it wasn't ok to hold our flight for 30 mins in Denver, thus making us miss our connection, thus requiring us to sleep in very uncomfortable chairs at the Denver airport. And weren't honored our original A boarding status or pre-boards when we finally flew out the next morning, thus making us sit in the very back (non-reclining) seats by the restrooms. I realize they can't control the weather and flight situations, but they can improve a customer's already crappy experience to make it a little bit brighter.

“Unpleasant trip - poor service - United Airlines”

We have had bad service from United on several trips but it was the only airline flying non stop from SFO to St. Louis so we did it. We ended up on a very small plane and the flight attendants were insisting that many carry ons be checked. That is fine if you have an overly big bag but the one flight attendant told me to check my carryon when it was the same size as everyone else's carryon she was allowing. I told her that it would fit into the overhead bin and I did not want to check it. She went on and on so we just ignored her and my carry on fit easily into the over head bin. She was nasty and should have retired years ago. When we finally arrived at St. Louis, we had to wait almost 1/2 hour to get our bags.United is much to slow on getting the bags out after a flight. I shall try to avoid flying United again unless it is a last resort.
