Trip from SFO to San Diego and back went smoothly. Plane had a pretty cool in-flight entertainment system - each seat has its own entertainment screen on the back of the seat in front of it. You can do everything from watch TV/movies, play games, order food, etc., Kids enjoyed it and it helped keep them entertained on the flight - when flying with 2 little ones every little thing helps! Legroom on the plane seemed more spacious than what I've experienced recently on other airlines.

What Southwest does best is concentrate on getting you from point A to point B. When I arrived at the airport for the return flight, the board indicated a one hour delay. But Southwest never gives up on trying to make up time. In the end it left only 45 minutes late and arrived back at SFO only 30 minutes late. No frills, just good basic transportation.

Our family of four, including two young children, recently flew via Virgin America (our first time on this airline) from SFO to SAN and I have nothing but positive things to say. Check-in was friendly & efficient and the flight crew attentive. The kids loved that they each got their own video set to play with/watch.
Looking forward to our next flight with VA because they are the polar opposite of our negative experience on United, whom we hope to NEVER fly again!!! We only hope VA can keep up the good work as they expand operations in the coming year ...
