I flew from San Fran. to Manila via Taipei. My flight with American Airlines was so bad I'll never fly again with them. I spent 24 hours sitting in SFO because my flight from Chicago to SFO was delayed 6 hours. I did arrive in time to see the 747 take off......without me. AA couldnt have cared less because I didnt book the next leg thru them. They did they're part and wouldnt even give me a meal voucher.

China Airlines was awesome. Check in was a little long but it was a 747 so understandable. An agent pulled my ticket while I was in line and changed my seat to an exit row for more legroom without me asking at all. I'm 6'6'' 270lbs so this is a big deal.

Waiting in my seat was a fresh pillow and blanket sealed. Barely in the air came my first meal which was quite tasty. Coffee, wine and tea served. Attendants were very pleasant, the female attendants were gorgeous too.

I slept 10 of the 13 hours, woke up in time for another meal which was excellent as well.

Landed on time in Taipei and connected to Manila. Taipei is an amazing airport, years ahead of anything in the U.S. by far.

The Manila flight was an exact duplicate of the 1st flight. Return trip the same.

In flight entertainment provided me with 7 or 8 movie choices.

I got a steal of a deal for my roundtrip ticket price of under $700 roundtrip including taxes. Most airlines were $1200 at the time.

Only bad part is I live in Kansas at the 7:30 pm arrival in SFO is too late to make it back to the midwest until the next morning. That has nothing to do with China Airlines.

Why pay more??
