Virgin has the best , personal tv for each seat. You can watch movies, listen to music, watch you flight progress. It keeps kids happy with a bunch of games to play. I recomend this airline over the rest.

Went on line to select seats. It appeared that I could only select from a group of seats that cost an additional $5 each. Had to pay $23 for 1 bag. Then while waiting for boarding they announce that this jet had small and limited space for carry-ons. We had to leave our carry-on at the door of the plane. When we landed, we had to wait while all the carry-ons were returned to the walkway outside the door to the plane. WHAT A PAIN.

Standard Southwest flight. Flight to Vegas was delayed 55 minutes which was disappointing, but they had texted to warn us.

I absolutely HATE Southwest's attempts to be humorous. "Look at us, we tell jokes and dance and sing funny songs, aren't we hilarious?" No. Stop it. I am trying to get from point A to point B, not booking a comedy tour. It's bad enough that on my flight to Vegas I was forced to endure young ladies who would spontaneously whoop/scream for no apparent reason, and another young woman who felt it necessary to shout everything she said, which was a lot. I didn't need to be told to participate in singing Happy Birthday to some strangers, and to turn on and off the call button to simulate birthday candles. Jesus, what if I were headed to a funeral? Leave people the hell alone. That's what they did on the return flight, and that's why my rating isn't worse.

I always choose Virgin America as my first choice when flying as they offer comfortable leg room, excellent media options (Satellite TV, Movies and Radio Stations)...and the chairs are very comfortable as well.

The flight from San Francisco to Las Vegas on July 5th at 7:20 p.m. was one of my worst flights on Southwest. It was packed, full of kids (including screaming babies) and the flight attendants simply did a bad job that day. I realize this was a holiday weekend and of course any type of travel would be likely be less comfortable. However, Southwest's flight was worse than it should have been. Southwest staff just seemed like they did not care about anything other than herding. A friend of mine to a Virgin flight from San Francisco to Las Vegas that same day at 7:05 p.m. and had fewer problems than I did. People with kids were a major pain. They abused the priority boarding by claiming that their children were younger than they were, i.e., a lot of those kids were too old to qualify for the priority boarding, but airline staff never questioned the age claims. Also, it seemed like there were many families with 3 or more kids on the flight, with both the mother and father having a kid on their lap (to save on airfare), plus a seat or two for their other kids. Ugh! The screaming and noise were horrible. The flight attendant failed to give my row soft drinks, even though we gave her our order. All the other rows received their beverages. The flight attendants were oblivious to the oversight and I had to bring it to their attention. The flight attendant who took our original orders apparently abandoned her duties with our section and another flight attendant had to take over for her. We had to give our order AGAIN. There were no apologies, simply irritation. The flight attendants sucked. Next time, I will probably take to Virgin between Las Vegas and San Francisco.

I not only received complimentary coffee and had a video screen in front of me-in economy-the subdued lighting was pleasant. A very good example of what all airlines can do if they want to.
