I will fly Air Canada again. Clean, friendly, great food, and good wine and spirits. Vancouver transfer was very easy.

Wanted to try out United's new, flat-bed business class, now installed on all their international 747's and 767's. The seat was great; completely flat and, at 6'1" I could comfortably stretch out and go to sleep. The AVOD 15" screen was excellent. Although the best systems have more choices of films, it still had several dozen movies and many TV shows and other features. The big disappointment was the food; perhaps the worst meal I have ever had on an airplane, even in economy. Everything was overcooked (and the plane departed a few minutes early, so no delay excuse). The beef was so tough it was almost inedible, the potatoes were mealy and the spinach had been cooked to death--just awful. Still, the seat made it all tolerable. Can't wait for United to get the rest of its international widebody fleet done. Till then, I'll take other airlines where United has their old, outdated cradle business class seats.

I have flown regularly for nearly sixty years and the seat I was assigned on a Boeing 777-300 by Singapore was the worst ever.. I couldn't reach my shoes to unlace them as my feet became swollen. The reclined seat in front of me was just inches from my nose...The 777's engines are close to the fuselage and very noisy as a result...I was way back in the aircraft and there was considerable motion at all times. Singapore is a very good airline, but trying to put five pounds in a four pound bag is truly a pain in the posterier....
