Virgin America is the best. Best service, on-time, great experience. The best part of it for me is being able to order food/drink whenever you want by using the computer screen/TV right in front of you, and then using a credit card in the same device to pay! And they are right there with whatever I ordered!

WE took the "Red Eye". Too bad we had a two hour delay as they took the original plane out of service. Yes we had the leather seats and entertainment equipment. As is was red eye, most people wanted to sleep, Jet Blue offer pillow and blanket for a fee, but as it was a plane that had been switched these were not available.

I am bit fan of Virgin! I have previously only used them for international flights after some exhausting and hideous experiences with other major American companies so this was my first experience using them domestically! Checkin was easy, the staff were pleasant and helpful and the plane was newer and cleaner then other Domestic airlines I have used. Each seat has its own personal entertainment system with tv, movies, games and radio available. The disappointment was that to watch a movie you had to pay an $8 dollar fee. We flew a red eye so the option to order your food and beverages via the screen in front of you was great! No being woken up just as you've dropped off! You choose when to eat and drink. BIg advancement! The food was good, you had to pay for it all of course, via the handy little credit card swipe thing under your screen. My only gripe about it was that as a person with a nut allergy I was quite alarmed at their only being about two meals I could choose that didn't contain nuts. I also felt quite vulnerable due to the prevalence of nuts being eaten and the amount of recycled air I was breathing. I don't know if that is something I should be worried about but I was!! I will be doing some research on that! Anyway, I think a lot of the bankrupt and completely deficient companies out there could learn a lot from how Virgin provides great, updated service, at a similar, often cheaper, reasonable cost instead of charging more and making their flights a premium. I have much more confidence and respect for them as a brand and will continue to actively search for journeys where I can use Virgin rather then another company!

Very quick and easy boarding. Seats were leather-nice, but uncomfortable for long flights. enjoyed having own TV to watch, it made time go by faster. This was our first flight with virgin America. We will fly them again.

Small seats, scant "complimentary" anything.... the only good thing is you could plug in electronics under the seat. Pretty grim but got us there safely.

JetBlue website says "If you like to be one of the first people on the plane, book a seat in rows 20-25. During our boarding process, customers sitting in those rows are invited to board first, and then customers in all remaining rows may board. So, if you like to be first, choose from the last!" On our trip back, they did not do this, they announced boarding for ALL rows, but I thought they had made an error. My partner and I were seated in the very last row (25) and since we were expecting to board first, we walked up and handed our boarding pass to the agent. Then some jerk customer started hastling us (he thought we had cut in line which I guess we did but we were honestly thinking that the boarding procedure that was on the website AND was the procedure on our previous flight, was the correct procedure and so we went up to board). I sent JetBlue a complaint email and the response was awful. They "apologized" but I got the feeling they could care less. HEY JETBLUE, IF THAT IS NOT ALWAYS THE PROCEDURE ALL THE TIME THEN STATE THAT ON YOUR WEBSITE (I was told if the flight is not completely full then they board all rows at the same time... stupid policy and the flight was at least 80% full). I'm taking Virgin next flight.
