“Very Good But.... Not As Planned”

Expected to return from LGA via Dallas but American cancelled my original routing and sent me through O'Hare instead ...departing 2 hours later than the original schedule. In reality I arrived at SAN "only" 40 minutes later in San Diego. Before leaving NY, I inquired at LGA's AA counter about why my flight was cancelled and they said "Plane was taken out of service".
Interestingly AA notified me of the flight change 2 days prior. Left me suspicious as to why they really cancelled. And, as a side note, neither of my return flights was full. Delightfully, I had an empty seat next to me on both return flights. That was a nice and unexpected. It's been a long time since this was the case!

“Air Tran is horrible and I will never fly with them again”

First of all our flight was delayed leaving SD for over and hour and this made our connecting flight even worse in Milwaukee. When we finally got in the air all was okay. We were all pretty much in the same situation - but then there was the NO peanuts because someone has an allergy alert.
When we finally arrive in Milwaukee they are pulling our ramp away from the gate. We asked them to hold the plane for us and refused to do so. The lady at the gate even asked them knowing we were coming in late to hold the plane and they would not. We were then stuck in the Milwaukee airport for 2 hours waiting for our next plane to arrive, which was amazingly on time. But then we circled around the NYC airport for over 30 minutes waiting to land.
None of this would've mattered except I had a long drive ahead of me when I landed in NYC. The return trip was the same situation, waited forever on the tarmac to leave NYC. Arrived in Milwaukee and the plane was delayed an hour coming in, which bumps us out an hour leaving or more. Landed in SD an hour later than planned.
I will NEVER fly Air Tran again, no matter how amazing their pricing is - it just isn't worth it or the aggravation!!!
