We were a family of 7 traveling from San Diego to New York then to Barcelona. The coach crew did not appear to be happy campers that day. The service was poor and slow in coming and then was rushed at the end [even though we were in a holding pattern for almost 2 hours.] They were very short with the passengers and were annoyed when people had to use the restrooms. [This was a one aisle flight] It was not our fault that their was only one aisle.
Some of the crew really needs to retire if they are tired of flying.
On the next leg from New York to Barcelona, we experienced the crew from hell. We did not think we would have 2 legs that were awful.
This was a long and arduous overnight flight. The crew was annoyed when asked for something and was rude in their responses.
Even though there were 2 aisles on this flight you are pretty much stuck with dealing with one in and out for restrooms. I was told where to stand while waiting for the restroom [could not go 2 feet over because it was the galley and there were knives and other equipment back there and I could get hurt.......hmmmm I have a kitchen with knives and other dangerous equipment]
I asked one attendant if I could get around her [she was reading] to the other lavatory and she accommodated. My husband was after me and he proceeded to follow me to the lavatory on other side and she told him he was supposed to stay on his side of the aircraft for that lavatory. How ridiculous! There were other issues that arose from several other passengers who also complained.
The flight back from Barcelona to New York was not much better but tolerable.
We all will never fly American if possible again!
