“the easy way to get to Hilton Head”

From the West Coast, I think it best to get on Southwest and accept the delay of one stop as you make your way to Jacksonville airport which is small and really easy to use and where you rent a car and then drive about 2 hours to Hilton Head. The alternative is to fly to Atlanta on any # of major carriers but then you still have to take a prop plane from Atlanta to the Savannah airport where the ride to Hilton Head Island is about an hour.
It was alot of fun having our own car and seeing the sights in Jacksonville,FL, Savannah, GA and Hilton Head Island, SC

The round trip Jax-San with a s/o in Vegas. All four legs were full. Late departure from SAN, butstill made change in Vegas with ease. Southwest is a true pleaure to fly. Friendly, no frills, but they only are of concern with a trans-pacific or trans-atlantic flight.
