“Vegetarians bring your own food!”

This flight had no vegetarian selections for the meal service. The offering was ham & cheese sandwich which is also unacceptable to some people for religious reasons. The meal for purchase options also did not include any vegetarian selections. I confirmed with the Flight Attendant and she said they had nothing vegetarian on board. This is unacceptable. I had a granola bar with me which was my lunch but I bought a ticket that included meal service. The return flight offered a vegetarian meal (pasta), so I do not understand why the outbound flight did not. Also on the return flight, there was no red wine available. The flight attendant said they ran out already. While this may be theoretically possible, I have never been on a flight on any airline that was out of wine for the meal service. That is revenue for the airline and this was just very poor planning. This is my third trip with HA, but service was very poor compared to prior two trips in 2005 and 2006.

My wife and I flew Hawaiian Airlines from San Diego to Honolulu to Kauai ( and back) for a vacation. Check-in was very easy, boarding was on time, in-flight service of food and snacks had a great variety, every seat had a free pillow and blanket, good first run movies, and the staff was very friendly and had that "Aloha" spirit. Of course first class would have been even better, but we're not millionaires. Overall, it was an easy, no problem flight and these days you can't ask for more.

don't do the mobile check in. My mobile boarding pass did not scan. Nightmare! The people at the airport were not helpful, but rather, very amused with their own things. Then the sound system went out on my first flight. Then I had to wait 2 hours for my layover. Then they boarded early and wouldnt let me on the flight. The man at the United counter was demeaning and awful to me. To the point where a passenger asked if they could try to help me! SO rude!!! I had to spend the night in San Francisco. No sleep. Waiting, still, for a flight out.

Check in went well. No problems with seating. Meal was good and free. Flight was on time. Luggage was on time.

Flight crew was very good. We let it slip that we were going to HI for our 40th anniversary and we were treated to some free drinks.
The seating on the 757 was tighter than the 737 we flew out to the west coast on. Its time for Delta to do some upgrading of its fleet.

Delta delayed then canceled flight to HNL and rescheduled to next day on AA with a layover in LAX. Delta customer service on the phone trying to get another flight was mediocre at best.
