I will never fly united again. After it became obvious that the severely delayed plane was not making it to San Diego, the united agents made no attempts to assist customers. I was told I could get home in 2 days at the earliest, and I was also told to google hotels because there regular hotels were full. Another flight to lax from another airline was discovered by another passenger, at which time all nine passengers were squeezed on. No assistance but a begrudging transfer was made by the united agents. Upon finally getting in a plane, we landed and literally ran for a significant time with luggage to get to our gate - plane still there. Then told they boarded ten min early and we were too late - "nothing we can do". 9 people didn't board but they boarded ten min early! Getting a flight the next day required me correcting the ticket agent by using their own app! I was told no flights until the afternoon but found some leaving at 6 am - by using their own app! Then upon getting 3 hrs of sleep, get to counter and have a snarl saying the counter opens in 20 min. Then said attendant points to a huge line. Thanks united - never flying you again. You hire angry bottom feeders without any problem solving abilities.

Too many kids on the redeye, and one baby managed to cry about every half hour, which got the dog in the seat kitty-corner across to start barking. Had hoped to sleep the whole way. No such luck. Otherwise, the in-flight staff was quite nice and respectful of those trying to sleep.

After everyone boarded in SD an announcement was made that the plane was taken "out of service". They said we were to deplane, walk to a new gate, and quickly stand in the same order to board another plane. Southwest handed out new boarding cards and asked everyone to be on the "honor system". The new plane was actually a flight that was just about to board other passengers. With very little confusion and in only 45 minutes, they went to a new gate, we boarded a new plane, and we were airborne! The best part? Everyone actually used the honor system and sat in their original seats. The result was that everyone made their connections and Soutwest had happy passengers. Yeah!
