We had mileage points to use, so we were only able to book our flight according to the seats Alaska Air was willing to let go for mileage....which were red-eyes: we arrived in Anchorage at 3am,( kinda confusing with the midnight sun and all!) and departed for San Diego at 2:30am (an hour late...so 3:30am really). Tiny, hard, cramped seating; no food save for a teensy bag of pretzels; no video/movie/entertainment of any kind; and on the leg between Seattle and Anchorage they had closed off half of the plane's seating area for cargo! Bleh....never again, Alaska Airlines!!!

Flew from San Diego to Anchorage with a change of planes in Portland. Crew was courteous, food was good, plane was packed and everyone seemed happy. Flights and baggage arrived on time. Return trip with a change of planes in Seattle (SEATAC airport men's room is antiquated, stinks, not too clean and needs a major overhaul). Alaska Air was out of most of the food on the menu. Beef jerky anyone? The highly touted Wi-Fi service (placards in every seat pocket) was non-existent and that really frustrated me. Wi-Fi was available (for $9.95 and up) but offer was a bait and switch as the placard seemed to imply it was free. Turns out the only free Wi-Fi was access to Alaska Air's reservation website, and when I tried to book a flight the website wouldn't accept my request.
