International flight approximately 8 1/2 hour non-stop. I had to pay overage charges of $50 for 3 lbs. going over the 50 lb. limit. The fee could be much more affordable after already paying airfare & for one checked piece of luggage. We were served only 2 complimentary drinks with no snack provided by American for such a long flight. Be sure you pack substantial snacks for your family so you won't starve and get headaches from not eating. Seats on American planes are very outdated and very uncomfortable. Broken arm rest and flight attendant was very rude even before plane took off. I asked for a blanket/pillow and was told very rudely about not keeping up with the news and all the new rules about what you won't get anymore for free. I was a paying passenger and was made to feel I was just a piece of baggage since I wasn't in first/business class fare. Let the airline know where they are falling short and hooray for airfarewatchdog! Thank you for a platform to stand on.
