Make sure you know if there are other options for you to get where you want to be in a reasonable time. The first leg of our journey was cancelled because of maintenance issues. Everyone was already boarded and the door closed. We sat in the plane for a bit until we were finally told we all had to deplane, collect our bags and rebook. I must say though that the folks working the counter were very pleasant and helpful. Here in SLC the gal helping us rebook everything because of the cancelled flight was very nice, friendly and knowledgeable her name is Tina T.

We ended up getting to Cancun 7 hours after we were scheduled to but hey...we got there. We also missed our connection to Mexico City because of the cancelled flight but, Tina got us rooms to stay in once we got to Phoenix and on the flight out to Cancun that next morning!

Then THAT flight was delayed due to maintenance issues! But, I'd rather be delayed and safe than have things go wrong while we are in the air!
