Alligiant air is the most uncomfortable, inconvenient and unhospitable airlines availabele EVER.
They have made their luggage requirements smaller than any other airlines and are extremely rude to their customers.
Terry the airline attendant was one of the rudest people ever! I was shocked at her demeaner and heard several other people commenting on the inappropriate behavior she exhibited.
If at all possible, I will never choose this airlines again.
What started out as a cheaper alternative has now become an extreme RIP OFF that abuses their customers.

Alligiant Air has been my choice for visiting my folks in Vegas since they arrived in Rapid City. The price was right with absolutely NO frills.
NOW>>> This ticket cost was as much as any other air lines and still "NO" frills. To begin with, they have made the carry on requirements so small that the traveler I have used for years barely misses in fitting the box... If I turned it upside down it would fit, but they dont allow that. I paid an extra 70 DOLLARS for a small carry on!!!! If I had known they were so decietful, I would have checked a big bag and brought everything I wanted. There were plenty of people boarding that had the same carry on but, had chose seats online.... this allows them to get their boarding pass online. Avoiding the ticket booth where they analyze the size of your bag. NOW>>>>> This ONLY happened in Rapid City!!! The SAME BAG went on for free from Las Vegas. The Airline attendants are RUDE and very unaccomodating!! The plane is dirty and CRAMPED!!! For that price I will fly Delta or one of the other airlines where I can at least be comfortable and people treat you with respect. NEVER again Alligiant Air!!! You have wore out your welcome!

Take note the baggage issue - they are very stringent here in RC with the bag size fitting into their little square box. Other than that, the flight went well. Allegiant in Vegas is not near as strict with baggage. If you have any concerns at all, I would pay for a bag when you make reservation as it is much cheaper ($20 v. $35 each way)

Allegiant has it's flaws - paying for a seat, paying for baggage, the boarding passes don't always seem to print properly - but the direct flight from Rapid City to Las Vegas is fantastic. I did it twice in the last month with on-time departures and arrivals, courteous attendants, a reasonable check-in experience (they are tough on carry-on luggage so people get aggrevated at check-in). I highly recommend this flight. Tip : they board EARLY so don't be late or you won't get on. They are tougher than most airlines on late arrivals.

Carry-on baggage charged $35.00 (required to check). Airline said it was too big by 1"...same bag used on same flight in January and NO CHARGE. Same bag used on return flight from Las Vegas on May 20 with NO CHARGE. Rapid City needs to get their act together!!!
