Typical Delta flights to our nation's capitol.

I checked in on-line, brought a small roller bag, mid-day security line at Portland, OR is a breeze.

Flights were on time, plane crew friendly. First leg to Minneapolis, sat next to a Univ. of Oregon student who proceeded to throw up shortly after take off (he obviously had been up late the night before drinking in celebration of finishing finals). Got an upgrade Minneapolis - DC so got a salad for dinner and an almost comfy seat.

Return trip through Detroit was similar sans barfing undergrad.

I had a great time flying with Frontier. Check in round trip was great, so fast! No waiting at all. I really had great flights and nice crews. Warm choc. chip cookies! Yum!

I DIG the fact that they don't have the 1st class bullpucky stuff and that for 25.00 I can get a little bit more room so I am not cramped. The airline folks all across the board were funny, laid back and easy going. The take off and landings were not bumpy. I have never been on Frontier and they came through great! I also like the separate tvs so folks can watch whatever they want. Seemed like there was some thought going on for customer service. I will be checking their flights first from now on. And the price was also great!

Not sure why, but had never flown on Frontier. It is my new favorite airline. Great staff from check in (enough people working that the lines are not long) to boarding to flight crew. Everyone was great. Smart too, that if they have a full flight, they offer free checking of carry ons at the gate which alleviated the hassle of people trying to cram luggage into the overhead compartments and delaying takeoff. Nice touch that they offer cookies as a snack. Best airline for luggage handling too; luggage is off quickly, an attendant is there picking up luggage that has made the rounds several times and the unclaimed luggage is neatly lined up and being watched by a representative from the airline.

Flights themselves were pretty good but plane repair service and refueling took way too long. There seemed to be indecision on what would happen. A half hr. on tarmac waiting for fuel after 5+ hrs. wait seems pretty inefficient. This is the second flight this summer on Delta that was frustrating.

Although I booked months in advance, I had no seat and boarding was taking place. I finally got a seat when there were two no shows.

In Detroit, I had a two hour layover and at the last minute, gate was changed to the other end of the terminal.. Nice.

Cabin in aircraft was not fully pressurized causing several of us to have ear problems.

I liked it better when it was Northwest Airlines.

I was pleasantly surprised at the smoothness of check-in, the courtesy and friendliness of all staff, the swift boarding procedures, and, best of all, each flight was on time, or even early. PDX, ORD, and DCA were beautiful, clean airports. United exceeded my expectations.

I truly hate, on principle, the added fees for checking luggage, etc., so I packed a carry-on bag for my 5 day trip to Washington, fully expecting to do battle for the overhead cabin space. On the full red-eye flight from PDX to DCA via EWR, the gate agents offered to gate check luggage, at no cost, to expedite loading. How civilized. When will the airlines figure out that life will be smoother if we don't play the game of their fees versus our attempts to avoid them?

Everything worked ok. Our tickets were contract fares and so we both had center seats. Even though the flight was full, the check in agents helped my wife and I out by switching our seats so that we could sit together. My wife is a "reluctant flyer" and so this was very helpful.
